Medical Student Testimonials

“The faculty on this rotation were committed to both great patient care and providing a wonderful experience for their students. They were always friendly, knowledgeable, and excited to teach. It never felt like I had a dumb question, and it was a great environment to develop my skills because there was lots of practice.”

“All of the attending physicians are knowledgeable and take the extra time out of their days to make sure we learn and have ample time for questions.”

“I saw a wide variety of patients including inpatient and outpatient. Every single preceptor I was with made me feel like part of the team. Each one spent extra time with me to teach topics and concepts. They mentored me in different ways, helping me reach my goal of learning the most psychiatry I can that is especially applicable to EM. I was able to complete a research project on the rotation and got great feedback from Dr. Pullara and Dr. Alleyne.”

“Dr. Hinds took the time to teach me during her busy clinic. This was one of the busiest practices I have seen, and she still took the time to make sure I was learning, examining patients, and feeling comfortable on the rotation.”

“I enjoyed getting to learn procedures such as steroid injections. Both Dr. McCann and Dr. Hammad made me feel very comfortable on this rotation and gave me a lot of autonomy to see patients and come up with a plan. They both took extra time to mentor me as well as teach me topics throughout the rotation.”
