Clinical & Research Interests: I have a passion for both clinical practice and research. My clinical interests include, but are not limited to, dermatology, surgery, and nephrology. My research interests are focused on the dermatology field but also psychological behavior. I would like to be a part of a clinical research project as well as a research project that encompasses the mental health of patients affected by chronic dermatologic conditions that affect their quality of life.

Undergraduate and Post–Graduate Education: Jean Carlo Daher started his medical education in 2013 in his hometown of Valencia, Venezuela, at the University of Carabobo, where he completed two years of medical school. Unforeseen circumstances saw him, and his family, immigrate to the United States during the year 2015 in search of a better life.

Professional Accomplishments: Staying true to the convictions and values that brought him to embark on the journey of medicine, he continued his medical education in San Jose, Costa Rica at the ‘Universidad de Ciencias Medicas Andres Vesalio Guzman’ (UCIMED). He obtained his bachelor’s in health sciences in 2017 and his bachelor’s and doctorate in Medicine and Surgery in 2022, receiving the prestigious honors graduation due to excellent academic performance.

Goals for Psychiatry Residency Training: My goals for the residency program are to find areas for potential growth and help in any way I can propel and potentiate that growth. One such area we have already started working on is implementing a mentorship program between outgoing and incoming residents who share the same subspecialty interests. I look forward to working with a program that offers the guidance to excel clinically and that will support my interests in medical education and research to make significant contributions to the medical profession.
Personal Interests: My interests and hobbies include creating opportunities for others through mentoring and facilitating networking. I enjoy teaching, singing, and watching and playing sports. Professional Accomplishments: Professionally, I have been able to have my name on 2 publications, and 3 posters, and have been able to give 1 lecture (the first medical student in our medical school’s history to give a lecture to other students). I have been awarded a First-Generation Scholarship from UF and a Health Equity and Inclusion Scholarship from the Mayo Clinic.
Clinical & Research Interests: I am interested in interventional pain as well as musculoskeletal medicine. I hope to tackle these medical disciplines in the underrepresented health community.

Clinical & Research Interests: I’m captivated by numerous facets of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R), each resonating deeply with my passion for helping individuals reclaim their physical functionality. Specifically, I find myself drawn to spinal cord injury rehabilitation, pediatric rehabilitation, pain management, and sports/musculoskeletal medicine.
My fascination with human anatomy fuels a desire to refine my proficiency in ultrasound techniques, recognizing their pivotal role in diagnostic precision and treatment efficacy within PM&R. My prior research engagements include evolutionary genetics, virology, nutritional studies focusing on calcium/magnesium ratios, and investigations into glaucoma at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. Now, I am eager to contribute meaningfully to the advancements of PM&R research.
Goals for Psychiatry Residency Training: As a transitional year resident going into PM&R, my primary aim for this upcoming year is to enhance my medical knowledge to better serve future patients within rehabilitation units. Professional Accomplishments: During my medical education, I conducted impactful research on the outcomes of our student-run clinic, which I presented at the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) conference. Additionally, I served as an officer in our Neurology Interest Group, organizing events to foster interest in neurology among my peers.
Clinical & Research Interests: My primary clinical and research passion is in Neurology, with a focus on all things Vascular, particularly stroke management. I am keenly interested in the interventional side of Neurology including procedures such as mechanical thrombectomies.

Personal Interests: Outside of medicine, I am an avid fan of the Texas Longhorns and enjoy watching their games in whatever way I can, preferably in person. To get outside I like to play golf and fish. I also love board games and just about all things on the tabletop.
