PGY2 Emergency Medicine Residency

Lakeland Regional Health is among the largest hospitals in Florida and home to one of the busiest stand-alone Emergency Departments in the nation with 165 total beds (including 16 critical and 33 pediatric) and designations as a comprehensive stroke center, primary chest center, and level 1 trauma center. The PGY-2 Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Residency provides an immersive and challenging training experience that exposes residents to an exceptional range of patients, disease states, and high-acuity clinical scenarios. Additionally, the program’s close collaboration with Graduate Medical Education fosters a rich interdisciplinary learning environment and prepares residents to excel as integral members of the emergency care team. Under the mentorship of board-certified preceptors, residents complete a focused and rigorous curriculum that cultivates advanced clinical reasoning, teaching, leadership, and research skills. Upon graduation, residents are well equipped to pursue board certification and succeed as highly skilled emergency medicine clinical pharmacy specialists.
